We can talk about dying to self. We can discuss walking away from the lifestyle and dictates of the ancient man. But what about life? We die to our old nature but we are still alive! What about the resurrection life that Christ Jesus gives us in the new birth? We die but lets not forget that we are raised to live a new life in Christ! Galatians 2:20 says, “I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.” NKJV
So many times we get caught up in what looks to be our sacrifice to be a Christian and miss the fact that we have been given everything that pertains to life and Godliness in this new life in Christ. Our focus is so much in the flesh that we miss life in the Spirit! By faith we are to live as being dead to sin but alive unto God. What an honor to be God’s son and the radiant bride that thrills His heart with one glace of our eyes. We live 90/10. 90% in the flesh and 10% in the Spirit. We need to change that around, don’t you think? 90/10 in the Spirit first then bring the wisdom of Christ revealed to the natural. What would happen if the church became more spiritually minded instead of naturally minded?
Resurrection life is life lived by the Word and the Holy Spirit of God. Jesus said that if you love Him you will obey His commands (the Word) and that the Father will love you and they will come and make their home or dwelling place in you! God’s presence, His Holy Spirit actually living in you. What an honor and what a mighty calling on the church of the Lord Jesus Christ in this hour for out-flowing from the bride of Christ will be rivers of living water for all who are thirsty. Thirst is on the rise in this darkened world. Hearts are becoming hungry and thirsty for truth. The resurrection life that the church is walking in today will be the shinning glory of the Lord that compels the true worshipers into the fields of harvest. We walk the streets of broken humanity with Christ. Listen to His voice and let’s bring honor to Him.

If only we did live more spiritually minded than naturally minded, this world would definitely be different & with as many who claim to be a Christian. We would be living more like Christ did on this earth as He lived spiritually minded. Always doing what He saw His Father doing. Going about doing good, healing the sick, casting out demons, loving the unlovable, completely relying on His Father and doing His will everywhere He went, with unrelenting commitment to prayer & relationship with His Father.
And if only we read Galatians 2:20 consistently & put it into practice everyday too, I think we would be different by the power of Christ that works in us and through us…..“I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.” NKJV..
Thanks for the great insight and nuggets of wisdom Pastor Mike!!:)
